Tiny tiny room/en suite tiny/table for 4 outside Lodge was dirty and chairs brokenno coffee making facility in room/
Charming cottage, great location and atmosphere.
Whilst I appreciate we went for the cheaper end of the market for Banff, we were dissapointed with this accommodation. the room was far too hot. there were no tea making facilities in the room although a kitchen down stairs was available to guests for complimentary tea or coffee, it seemed the guests were to provide their own milk. Luxury breakfast consisted of cereal, croissants, toast, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt and muffins, not my idea of luxury Im afraid. Our room was not serviced unless we requested it (to respect our privacy. we felt the hotel was run more like a hostel basis. not what we expected sadly. Location excellent tho.
Very helpful and friendly owner. Good breakfast.
Very small room. Extremely tight toilet space. Every little sound could be heard from other rooms through the walls and doors. Movement in the hall from other guests woke us up several times.
Having a kitchen available
Tiny claustrophobic room, no space to relax in anywhere else. The train whistles, the hot rooms. Steep narrow steps made it advisable to leave the luggage in the car.
Excellent location 2 minute walk from downtown, cosy rooms and great owner!
Friendly staff close to downtown home made croissants and muffins with breakfast
Cozy is the word for it. The staff, the breakfast, the rooms. Though it may be small, you can rest better than in many big room hotels. I highly recommend it.
Pescal is the man in charge here. He is extremely friendly and helpful. Really mad our stay fantastic. Thanks!
Pascol, guy at front desk, is extremely knowledgeable abt Banff and gives excellent info and suggestions for activitites like where to ski.
We absolutely loved the feel and authenticity of the Lodge. It was perfect for our trip. It's close to Banff Ave, but not too close. The service and hospitality was fantastic! Thanks for a good stay.
The room was a little chilly. We could hear some of the city noise, but nothing we couldn't sleep through.
Pascal Dell-Courtemanche - owner of the hotel gave me a very warm welcome and assisted with practical things like map of Banff, ski rental with 10% discount, directions for a ski bus and for the local museum. The cabin was clean and the electrical heaters were switched on in advance providing a very comfortable temperature.
I really enjoyed the quaint atmosphere of Blue Mountain Lodge. As soon as you step through the door you feel at ease, like you are home. The breakfast was great, as was the guest kitchen area. It is a place I would stay again without question.
Was cllose to town. Cheap.
The place was old, small room, hard bed, no tub just shower. 14" tv, no fridge or microwave. Heard people moving about and playing guitar in adjacent kitchen at 1 am. No clean towels after first night, asked for room service was told every 3 days. Asked if I had to clean towels but they gave me new ones. Breakfast was continental Had a 3 night stay but left after 2 totally disappointed. Don't care if they refund last night. Couldn't pay me to stay there.
Warm welcome, great breakfast, quiet location yet very near centre of town, relaxed atmosphere. The best facility was the full kitchen so we could cook our own meals because the prices of restaurant meals are EXORBITANT in Banff. Also liked provision of car park but plenty of free parking on streets in Banff.
Our room (no 5) was quite spacious, but some of the other rooms are a bit "compact"! The bathroom was minute - you could not get past the toilet to use the shower or sink if someone was using it! I imagine that the room could get very hot in summer. TV screen rather small.
